The anti-perforation and paint warranties exclude 'surface corrosion' or 'blistering, scab, and fading', respectively, 'that may result from insufficient or improper maintenance or care, or the result of impact by foreign objects'. These exclusions may be strengthened by referring to environmental conditions (including pollution) and any other factors outside of MG Motor's control, as set out below:
Anti-perforation is identified as rust through corrosion of the painted metal body panels from the inside or underside of the panels occurring as a result of faulty workmanship or faulty materials used during the original manufacturing process of the vehicle. This excludes surface corrosion or other damage that may result from insufficient or improper maintenance, storage, or care, environmental conditions (including pollution), or the result of impact by foreign objects, or any other factors outside MG Motor's control, as set out further below.
Paint is identified as defects in the original paintwork application and durability. This excludes scaling, blistering, scab, and fading, or other damage that may result from insufficient or improper maintenance, storage, or care, environmental conditions (including pollution), or the result of impact by foreign objects, or any other factors outside MG Motor's control, as set out further below.
